When you tried your links, did you highlight Crystal's name and then click on the little icon that looks like a green world with a chain link on top? It will pop up a box for you to type in the web address.
I don't know if that helps? I actually learned that from Crystal @ Little Bit Funky. I saw that she did that all the time, so I sent her an email and she explained how she does it.
