Stormy Sky Pics

Here are a few pictures from right after we had gotten our new camera. The sky turned all dark & gray, then the wind picked up. Malia had some fun in the backyard. Take a look.

OMG...LOOK AT THIS!!!

Okay, I have to share this with everyone.......loook at this SPIDER that was crawling across the carpet this evening. This is the "after/dead" view. I didn't stop to take a live picture for fear of losing this thing. This was **THE** biggest spider I have EVER seen. It was the size of a Tarantula, but not as thick. the leg span was incredible. I would say before it met the sole of my shoe, it was as big as the bottom of a coffee cup (if not bigger). It was NOT a Daddy Long Leg.

I put a tube of lipgloss (standard Chapstik) size next to it to give you an idea of how big it was....and remember how they always shrink up after they are dead.

Really, it was HUUUUUGGGGGEEEEE! And how did it get so big? Are there more? Will I sleep tonight? I don't know.

Nothing New

Well, not much has been happening this past week. We have all been sick with a cold, which made for a uneventful week. There are so many things to do, or at least things I want to do. I am really feeling the need to start scrapbooking again. The pictures have really piled up. I also need to start making things for a holiday bazaar (maybe 2).........which is fun. I seem to work better under pressure, so in that respect it's still too early to start. Ha ha. Okay, I am just thinking out loud.

Here are a couple of pictures from the birthday party we had last weekend at the Derrah's house. We celebrated birthdays for: Toni, Ryan, Kevin & Dean. It was a good time!

Have great rest of the weekend~~

(p.s. Did you see the previews for the next Grey's Anatomy?? It looks good. Can't wait to see the letter Denny left for Izzy!!) I know....get over it Linda.

P is for Princess

On Thursday Malia (and Alex & I) went to a "Princess Party" for Mia Coats' 4th Birthday. It was a great party and all of the girls dressed up like princesses (there was also 1 prince) and got to decorate magic wands. Unfortunately we came to the party right from the Doctor's office for Alex's 6 month check up......and Malia had an unexpected flu shot. She ususally takes shots very well, but this time we weren't so lucky! After the shot she couldn't walk and wanted to be carried the entire day. Ugh. At the party she was moving pretty slow and was dragging her leg to get around. We tried the magic wand on her leg, which seemed to magically fix it for a brief period of time...but then we were back to where we started. Here are a few pictures of the party and a really cute one of Melinda/Mindi (Mia's Mom) and her sister Jill, and Jill's daughter Sophia.

p.s. Alex had 5 shots that day and was just fine! ;O)
