I'm playing catch up on pictures. here are a **ton** from Labor Day weekend. We went to Pacific City, then down to Newport to visit the Aquarium. The pictures got a little out of order when I posted.....but you can probably tell which are from the aquarium. ;)

Stephanie & little Olivia were down for the weekend too and Malia was so excited to have a new friend there. Olivia is just 3 months younger than Malia. The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed the beach and the big sand dune.
The Derrahs were down too and we met up on the beach.

Enjoy the pictures.

September in the Back Yard

When we are not out running around (or it's not too hot)the kids and I like to have a long lunch in the back yard, look for bugs, try to catch butterflies, and watch for planes & helicopters. :) Exciting I know!
Here are a few pictures from an afternoon earlier this month. Alex now likes to do what his "big sister" does.
Happy Fall.....almost!

Our Squirrel Friend

Here is a picture of one of the neighborhood squirrels. We tossed out a few nuts and sunflower seeds and today we had not 1 but 2 squirrels visit us. I caught this one running away with a nut in his(?) mouth.

Little Ballerinas

Malia had her last day of ballet/tap class in August. Here are some pictures of Malia, her "best friend" Mia Coats, and Miss Laura. Mia & Malia cannot keep their hands off each other in class. Parents were allowed to come in and watch on this last class. :)

Notice in one of the pictures all the girls have tap shoes on, except Malia & Mia.......somehow we missed that we needed BOTH pairs of shoes for the last class. Oops!!

Fun at Bullwinkle's!! Aug 2007

We took our first trip ever to Bullwinkle's in Wilsonville with Yaya Peggy. The water boats were a blast...but it was impossible to get pictures without the possibility of killing our good camera! There was a girl there who immediately started gunning for us - while we were still trying to figure out how everything worked. Malia went with Yaya, and Alex went with Rourke. After a few sprays in the face from "that girl", Alex wasn't having so much fun.

After the water boats, we played 18 holes of miniature golf. It was fun too....but the rules (of course) went out the window. Malia was fairly competitive, and Alex just wanted to pick up everyone's ball and give it back to them.

When it was all over, we had pizza and played a few games. Whew! Too much fun for one day. :)

Alpaca Farm

We visited an alpaca farm in July with Mindi, Mia & James. It was up off Skyline in Portland and the views were beautiful up there. We spent a couple hours seeing the alpacas, petting them, learning about them, walking around the grounds and playing on a little play structure. Apparently the owner of the farm & house is the youngest daughter of the/one of the Hewlitt Packard founders. It was a good morning........made better by the fact that I did NOT kill the baby deer that hopped directly into the path of our Jeep on the way there. Whew!

Pacific City In July ~ 2 Trips

July was a busy month! These pictures are out of order......I took the kids to PC in early July with my Mom, Sister Kathy & Niece Kelli. It was beautiful weather there and was close to 97 degrees when we left (that was when it was sooooo hot back in Portland). We had a fun time on the beach and went down to Lincoln City to shop at the outlets and have dinner at Mo's. **Yum!**

In mid-July we headed down for a quick weekend trip for Dory Derby Days. Here are a few pictures from the parade on Saturday. The weather wasn't all that great, but it actually didn't rain during the parade. It was a good day for C-A-N-D-Y......and the parade etiquette was much better than the 4th of July parade in Hillsboro. :)

An Impromptu Backyard Photo Shoot ;O)

These are pictures from July. Malia came home from spending the afternoon with Grandma Jeaneen and was dolled up with a fresh pony tail and some "jewels". Alex was just having fun digging in the dirt.
