Ella's Birthday - Finally the Pictures

Last weekend we had Ella's 1st Birthday PARTY!! We were hoping for a beautifully, sunny day...but had partly cloudy with a few sprinkles mixed in. Not bad for Oregon - it could have been much worse!

Here are a few of the "way to many pictures" that were taken. :O) (The birthday outfit was my splurge from great Etsy sellers).

Happy 1st Birthday to our Little ELLA!

Hello and Happy Friday..........and HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELLA!

Here she is one year ago today...just minutes after she was born.

She has been a dream baby for the most part. So happy, funny, laid back, fiesty at times and independent. I just knew our family wasn't complete before she arrived! I was so right. :)

Teacher Gifts!

Greetings!

We are on the last week of Preschool here in our town. Another Mom and I took on an end of the year project for our kids' teachers. We each have 2 kids at the school that are in the same classes...so in total there are 6 teachers we needed gifts for (0f course we made it difficult and decided to give gifts to the front office gals too).

A few weeks ago we secretly gave out small pieces (approx 3" x 5" or so) of white paper to all of the kids in the classes, asking them to create artwork using pens, watercolors, paints, etc. We were so excited to see all of the different masterpieces that we received back. So...over the past week we have matted them all and turned them into blank notecards and bundled them up for each teacher. The back of each card says "Created for you by a ___________, a student at ___ Preschool".

Here are some samples of the cards all bundled up. I forgot (a trend lately) to take pictures of them before they were packaged. There were so many great ones to show! Oh well. Each teacher will be getting a nice assortment of 8 or so cards.

Congratulations to the Graduate...Nick!

Today my nephew Nick graduates from Southridge High School! Last night we went to a fun grad party for him with tons of his friends and family. Once again, I forgot my camera...but here he is from a few months ago:























Here is a little card I made for him to hold his $$ gift $$. I was going for SHS colors, but once I put the "Liquid Glass" on the cranberry letters, they lightened up quite a bit.

I made a pocket in the inside to hold the gift...could be used for a gift card or whatever. Mine was a check, because I didn't have cash on hand. :) I didn't take a great picture of the inside with the pocket, but here is a close up:

Carson Turns 1! A Great Day for a Party :)

Hello!

It's Tuesday and I'm looking forward to school being out soon. I've tried to schedule the kids for some Summer classes (soccer, dance, t-ball, swimming) so we don't go crazy here at home on hot days with no a/c. :) I'm hoping the whole Summer isn't as hot as the past few days.

This past weekend we went to a Birthday BBQ for Carson. Carson is my Niece Kim & her husband Brandon's son. Here he is with his cake:

The bbq was at my brother's house (Thanks Bryon & Janna), and it was lots of fun. A beautiful day, great food, lots of family, a tire swing, kiddie pool, gumballs, babies, and more!

Okay, gotta run. Kids need some attention. Ella is trying to walk - yikes! I'm not sure if I'm ready.
